About Glasshalf
Glasshalf began in May 2026 in a small garage in Seongsu, Seoul.
We are interested less in the finished stage than in the time accumulated before it: the repeated setups before a show, days and nights spent recording and editing, sounds revised countless times, cables reconnected, and movements rehearsed until they become instinctive. We believe these unseen hours ultimately shape a person’s sound and attitude.
We question the moments when music gear asks players to conform to prescribed ways of working, and when features themselves take precedence over the experience of playing. Gear should not exist merely to display what it can do. It should work close at hand, allowing players to stay in their flow and focus on sound.
That is why Glasshalf makes instruments for the process of performing and creating. Tools that respond the moment they are needed, clarify complex connections and controls, and settle naturally into the way a person plays through repeated use. We want to make gear that supports uninterrupted judgment and movement, rather than equipment designed to put its features on display.
Our products do not complete music on behalf of the player. Instead, they help the process of revising, testing, and shaping a personal sound continue with greater freedom and precision. We make gear not for appearing like a finished musician, but for people who continue to make their own sound.
Glasshalf wants to stand beside musicians, sound engineers, creators, and anyone who builds something through their own system and attitude rather than remaining within a given method.
If the unseen process also needs tools to support it, we hope Glasshalf can be a brand that works beside it, quietly and precisely.
